Counseling for Anxiety

Anxiety is far more than constant worrying;it is a nervous system stuck in high-alert mode. Even when you logically know you are safe, your brain continues scanning for potential threats. While we often attempt to manage anxiety through thinking, like over-planning, seeking reassurance, or ruminating; anxiety primarily resides in the body. It frequently manifests as a tight chest, shallow breathing, a racing heart, digestive distress, or an inability to truly unwind. In therapy, we look beyond simply challenging anxious thoughts; we work to help your nervous system relearn safety so your body can finally drop its guard.
